More Support for Mentions

StatsMix has taken the concept of tracking and mapping mentions to your aggregated stats a bit further and we think it makes a huge improvement.

When you now view stats for a given service, you’ll also notice a bar chart that underlies the line chart for a given service. This tracks the number of mentions each day for your site (tracked by profile URL) from Twitter, blog posts, and comments across the web.

Previously, StatsMix was only tracking blogs and comments, but we’ve now added the ability to see all Twitter mentions of your links as well. So when someone re-tweets a shortened link that contains your URL, StatsMix now enables you to track this and see how those mentions are changing your web stats.

In addition, we’ve added the ability to track a feed and include that with the mentions data. In the new or edit profile page, you now have the ability to add a feed URL. This feed can be anything you like. The most common use would be to add a feed directly related to your site like a blog feed or site feed, but it could be anything.

The idea behind adding feeds to mentions tracking is you can now start to get a visual idea of how writing new blog posts or articles are influencing the various web traffic measures.

Let us know what you think of mentions and how we can improve them.
